Arrival in Johannesburg possible at any time. After the transfer to the hotel, you can relax and arrive. In the evening, you will get to know your fellow travellers over dinner and start your South African adventure.
Hotel: Southern Sun Rosebank (or similar)
Today we head towards Kruger National Park. On the way, you will drive along the spectacular Panorama Route, one of the most beautiful roads in South Africa. Stops along the way include the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes and God's Window viewpoint. In the evening, you will reach your lodge in the Greater Kruger Area and enjoy a typical South African dinner.
Hotel: Umbhaba Eco Lodge (or similar)
Early in the morning, you get into an open safari vehicle and go on a full-day game drive in Kruger National Park. With a bit of luck, you will spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, hippos and maybe even leopards. Return to the lodge in the evening and soak up the special atmosphere of the African bush.

Today you travel on to the Karongwe Private Game Reserve. There you will meet a researcher from the Endangered Wildlife Trust's Cheetah Range Expansion Project and learn more about the conservation of cheetahs and other predators in South Africa. Afterwards, the researcher will accompany you on a safari through the reserve and give you exciting insights into his work and the local wildlife.
Hotel: Karongwe Portfolio - Chisomo Safari Camp (or similar)
Today is dedicated to further safaris in the private reserve. Together with local rangers and trackers, you will go on game drives in the morning and afternoon in an open vehicle and keep an eye out for the Big Five. In between, there is time to relax at the lodge before enjoying a traditional South African boma braai in the evening.
Hotel: Karongwe Portfolio - Chisomo Safari Camp (or similar)
In the morning, you will go on safari one last time and have the chance to observe animals in their natural environment. You then drive back to Johannesburg, where you can round off the last evening of the trip with a relaxed dinner together.
