Stroll through the rainbow markets and savour the moment. You are in Peru after all! The afternoon is at your leisure! How's the head? Don't worry, today is a quiet day learning the traditional art of weaving. Breakfast at the hotel before we leave Cusco to explore a rural artisan community. Here we learn directly from the locals about traditional natural weaving and its importance in Peruvian culture. We learn how the wool is obtained, how the treads are made and how the textiles are naturally dyed. It really is an amazing experience. After mastering the art of weaving...(well, not quite, but we tried!), we head to a local pottery school where we learn about the traditional methods of making ceramics and paint ourselves a little souvenir to take home like Bob Ross. There's nothing better than enjoying a day out and supporting the community at the same time. Good vibes all round.
Activities: City tour of Cusco & entrance to the historical site of Sacsayhuaman & weaving demonstration and pottery school

Wake up! It's time for your daily dose of the beautiful landscapes Peru has to offer. We drive to our next destination, Ollantaytambo! On the way, we stop to marvel at the salt mines of Maras. An incredible view like no other! We learn more about the 500-year-old process of salt mining from the locals and enjoy the view of these mines dug into the mountainside. A breathtaking green landscape surrounds us. Are you ready to get the adrenaline pumping? We're set for adventure, TruFam! Hop on a mountain bike and ride down the mountain in style! Mountain biking is one of the best ways to enjoy these unforgettable views, so let's hit the road and ride downhill, surrounded by the Andes. 10/10 landscapes. The kind of view you'd see on a postcard or an Instagram post from National Geographic. You know what we mean. After our adrenaline-fuelled ride, we check into our hotel in Ollantaytambo, a small town at the northern end of the Sacred Valley, and use the evening to relax.

Good morning campers! We know, we know, it's early and we're all still half asleep, BUT you know what they say, the early bird catches the worm and believe us, it's worth it. The bus journey only takes 2 hours, so you can catch up on your sleep until we arrive at our destination, the *drum roll please* impressive Rainbow Mountain! The locals call it Montaña de 7 Colores! The 5200 metre high mountain in the Andes is a sacred and spiritual place for the Incas! Spend a whole day hiking up the mountain and marvelling at the majestic landscape (it looks like a postcard, trust me). Imagine layers of gold, lavender, red and turquoise and you're on the right track. Known as one of the best things to do in Peru today and an unforgettable experience, you can tick it off your travel bucket list! Look around you. It's our last night and the pisco sours are flowing. So you know what that means: put on your dancing shoes, you've had some practice, dance salsa all night! Pisco sours all night long!

It's time to say adios! We know goodbyes are hard, but hey, you can always come back, and you're leaving with a wonderful TruFam that you've made great memories with, so it's not all sad, BUT we know the blues hit hard, which is why it's not goodbye, it's "see you later". As your adventure continues, our Travel Ninjas are here to help you continue your journey. Stay awesome, TruFam!
