After landing in Brisbane, you'll take the included airport transfer to our hostel, where you'll meet the rest of your travel group. We have 2 days to explore the highlights of Queensland's capital and relax on Australia's only man-made city beach, The Lagoon.
Discover picturesque Rainbow Beach, known for its laid-back lifestyle and stunning beaches. We'll return to the beach before heading to one of the absolute highlights of Australia's east coast - Fraser Island (K'gari)! You'll drive around the world's largest sand island in your own off-road vehicle. The beach and the sand dunes are your highway for the next 3 days. Swim in the turquoise waters of Lake McKenzie, float in Eli Creek, enjoy 360-degree views of Fraser Island from Indian Heads Lookout, cool off in the Champagne Pools, learn about the Aboriginal history of the island, watch dingoes in the wild and then sleep with your group under the stars in a private, exclusive campsite. Once back in Noosa, we'll explore the idyllic coastline on the way to the Instagram-worthy Fairy Pools.
Enjoy some free time at the lagoon in Airlie Beach before discovering another absolute must-see on the east coast - the stunning Whitsundays. We board our ship for the next 2 nights and explore this paradise of 74 tropical islands. Relax and sunbathe on the large deck as we sail to the outer parts of the Great Barrier Reef. Snorkel with an abundance of marine life on the fringing reefs and try your hand at stand up paddle boarding. Later, you can explore the fine white sand at the world-famous Whitehaven Beach.
Over the next 2 days, you'll stay in beachfront cabins while you explore the best of this magical island. Relax in your hammock by the sea, hire a car and explore the hidden beaches and hike the historic Forts Walk. If you're lucky, you might even spot wild koalas and rock wallabies.
Relax on the beach in the laid-back city of Mission Beach and choose an adrenaline-fuelled experience that this city is known for. If you've ever toyed with the idea of going skydiving, this is the place! Jump from 15,000 feet and enjoy views of the Great Barrier Reef and rainforests before landing on the beach, or take a white water rafting trip down the Tully River through a spectacular gorge surrounded by World Heritage rainforest.
Cairns is the ultimate centre for backpacker adventures. Here you can tick off a big item on your bucket list and spend a whole day on the Great Barrier Reef. You'll snorkel and sail and visit 2 unique outer reef sites. While in Cairns, we'll also explore the Atherton Tablelands, a true Australian oasis. You'll swim under epic waterfalls, slide down natural rock slides and swim in extinct volcanic craters as your experienced guide introduces you to this extraordinary place. Tonight we'll end the trip with a farewell dinner and drinks to toast the incredible adventures we've shared together. Your epic Aussie adventure ends in Cairns on the morning of the 20th. If you need help with onward travel or working in Oz, we're here for you for the rest of your time in Australia.
