Welcome to Sydney! We know your flight was long, so whatever time of day it is, our airport transfer will take you straight to the hostel where you can relax before meeting your group on Monday. That means you should be in Sydney on Sunday* evening.

You will stay at WakeUp!, which is regularly recognised as the best accommodation in Australia. Socialise with other tour participants or just chill in your room and try to get rid of your jet lag. You've got a big week ahead of you.

Arriving a few days early? No problem! Your airport transfer is included and can be arranged for any day before the tour at any time. Need extra nights? You can book these at check-out. Get in touch with us - we'll take care of it.

*In the high season (September to March) we also offer some additional tours that start on Thursday. Thursday is the day of arrival for these tours.

First night in the hostel

Today is the day you meet your tour guide and your new travel family - how exciting! After we've all introduced ourselves, we'll take care of your bank account, SIM card and tax number so that you can relax and go exploring.

On our city tour, we'll show you why Sydney is such a legendary and charming city and why travellers love it so much. By the evening, all your friends back home will be jealous of your Instagram!

We end our first day together with a welcome dinner in one of Sydney's favourite restaurants.

Of course, travelling is about seeing the icons, but we want you to experience the lesser known tourist areas/activities too. Australia is home to the oldest continuous civilisation in the world, so we'll spend the morning learning all about it with our own private Aboriginal culture tour. After catching a glimpse of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, we'll explore the suburbs that the locals love. How will we do that? Well, first we'll embrace Sydney's bar culture with our very own private cocktail making class - how cool is that! After that, you'll need something to eat, so we'll take you out for dinner at a locals-only eatery where you can sample an incredible array of different delicious dishes!

Up and at 'em, we're off on an unforgettable road trip. After passing through Australia's first national park to see a waterfall, you'll be treated to breathtaking views and beautiful coastal scenery as we drive over the Sea Cliff Bridge to our destination, Jervis Bay, which is known for several things.

Firstly: dolphins! Yes, that's right, you'll spend the morning on a boat watching these majestic animals jump alongside you as you enjoy the beauty of the bay.

Secondly, Jervis Bay is also known for having the whitest sand in the world. Guess what you'll be doing in the afternoon? That's right, you'll be spending some time on it!

So far it's been really cool, but today it's all about experiencing Australian culture up close.

We get ready for a breathtaking morning surf session at the beautiful Seven Mile Beach, home to Surf Camp Australia. Catching your first wave is the best feeling ever and you'll remember it forever. By breakfast you've never surfed before, but by lunch you're sun tanned, have salt water in your hair and are debating who was the best in the water.

After the surf camp, we have one more surprise up our sleeve before we make our way back to the big city of Sydney.

Today is the day to plan your time in Australia! With the information from the presentations on day 3 still fresh in your mind, you will sit down with an expert for a personal interview.

Our community team will answer all your questions, book your amazing trip through Australia or give you tips on how to find a job on a farm, in the hospitality industry or in another field of your choice.

At the end of the day, you're guaranteed to have a plan and be full of anticipation for your upcoming adventure.

You will certainly want to share your experiences and plans with the group, so we will all go to the final dinner together. This may be the end of the tour, but it's not the end of the adventure! We'll be here for you throughout your time in Australia and look forward to making more memories with you.
