Hanoi - Welcome to Vietnam

After landing in Hanoi, we will pick you up at the airport and take you to your boutique hotel in the heart of the Old Quarter. Meet up with your travel group and look forward to the adventures ahead.

Hanoi - Discoveries with the Rickshaw

We jump straight into the hustle and bustle of Hanoi by exploring the city on foot and by rickshaw. Delicious street food will keep us energised as we explore the heady energy of the capital with its rustic colonial buildings and themed shopping streets. This evening we'll go out for dinner and drinks to see what Hanoi has to offer after dark. (F)

Sapa Village - Trekking in Sapa

From Hanoi to the mountains: This morning we take a VIP bus and discover the dazzling landscapes of northern Vietnam. We meet locals from various ethnic groups before climbing the Muong Hoa Valley on a short hike. Passing villages bursting with culture, we spend the night with a local family in the village of Ta Van. Finally, we learn more about the local customs at a traditional dinner and have a traditional dinner, which we enjoy with some rice wine. (F, M, A)

Sapa Village - Villages & Mountains

Today is all about enjoying the postcard scenery and breathing in the fresh mountain air as we hike through terraced hills and waterfalls. In the afternoon we drive to Sapa, where we check into our beautiful hotel in the mountains and put our feet up. (F)

Sapa - We discover the city and the surrounding area

This morning, enjoy the hotel and explore Sapa on your own, with the option to take the cable car up to the Fan Si Pan peak. With a summit at 3100 metres above sea level, this viewpoint, dubbed the Roof of Indochina, offers breathtaking views of the mountainous landscape. Tonight we board an overnight train for a unique but comfortable journey back to Hanoi. (F)

Halong Bay - boat tour with overnight stay

From Hanoi, we travel to Ha Long Bay to board the luxurious boat that will be our home for the night. Famous for emerald green waters, limestone islands, magical caves and dense rainforests. We experience this world heritage site while kayaking, swimming and lazing on the sun deck. In the evening, enjoy the sunset from the deck and a fresh dinner and a few drinks. Ninh Binh - We are travelling to Ninh Binh

Today, the rice fields and the vast mountains of Ninh Binh await us. Tonight we will enjoy our peaceful surroundings by staying in traditional bungalows by the river with a local host family. (F, M)

Ninh Binh - Bike tour, rowing & an epic hike

We set off for the rural paradise of Ninh Binh. First we take a bike tour through rice paddies, then we take rowing boats through a network of rivers and caves. The hike to the viewpoint on Dragon Mountain rewards us with a fantastic view. (F)

Hoi An - We discover the magical city

Our first domestic flight takes us to charming, historic Hoi An. Go shopping, stroll through the alleyways or visit a tailor who will make you a suit or dress. Tonight we go out for dinner and drinks in this lively town.

Hoi An - Bucket Fishing & Cooking Class

Local fishermen teach us the art of crab fishing today. We then take part in a practical cookery course to become masters of Vietnamese cuisine. The afternoon is yours to chill out by the pool. Or treat yourself to a great massage. This evening we will experience a cultural bamboo show! (F, M)

Hoi An - Lantern making & beach day

Today you'll try your hand at making a great Vietnamese souvenir - a lantern! Then we take a short bike ride through idyllic fields to the coast and spend a relaxing day on the beach with lunch in a cool beach club. Then we enjoy our last night in Vietnam together.

Yes, many of our participants are travelling alone. When you join our trip, you immediately become part of a group and have the opportunity to meet other adventurers. It's a fantastic opportunity to make new friends and share unforgettable experiences together!

You can secure your tour with a deposit of 200 EUR. The balance is not due until 45 days before the start of the tour. However, if you book within 45 days of the tour start date, the full tour price is payable immediately. This means you can plan your trip flexibly and look forward to your adventure!

If you make an enquiry, we will then contact you by phone to discuss all the details for preparing the offer. For example, we will clarify whether you need a flight offer and discuss all the important travel topics with you. You will then receive a personalised offer from your travel consultant by email. This ensures that all your wishes are taken into account and that you are well informed.

After your booking, you will receive a tour confirmation and your flight documents if you have booked the flight through us. You will be given access to a packing list and to online groups where you can exchange ideas with other participants. Your tour guide will contact you around 2-4 weeks before the start of the tour and provide you with final details about your journey and the start of the tour. This way you are well prepared and can network with your fellow travellers in advance.

As the group participants are travelling from many different countries, the flights to and from the tour are booked individually and are not included in the tour price. We will be happy to create and send you a suitable flight offer. Latest arrival time:
You can arrive at any time on the first day of the tour. However, a welcome dinner is planned in the evening, which is why you should be at your first accommodation before 6 pm if possible so as not to miss it. This way you can get to know the other participants right at the start and have a relaxed start to your adventure.

Airport transfer:
The airport transfer on your arrival on day 1 is already included in the price. You will be picked up at the airport and taken to your first accommodation in comfort. So you can start your trip relaxed and don't have to worry about organising transport.

Where should I take off:
Vietnam Experience 12 days ends in Hoi An If you stay longer in Vietnam, your group leader will help you organise your onward journey.
From Hoi An, you can easily fly from Da Nang Airport, both domestically and internationally.
Da Nang Airport is approximately one hour by bus or taxi from Hoi An.

The airport transfer after the end of the tour is not included in the price, as many participants travel on individually within the country. Of course, you are also free to go out to eat on your own or with other participants. There are numerous inexpensive and good options on site to cater for you. Yes, that's no problem. You will be asked about your dietary requirements during the booking process. German nationals do not require a visa for a stay of up to 45 days. Austrian and Swiss nationals, on the other hand, must apply for an e-visa before entering the country. We recommend travelling with a rucksack and packing light! 10-20kg should be enough. It's usually quite hot and it's no fun lugging around a huge suitcase. You can do your laundry or have it done for little money in most accommodation.
