The capital of South Korea is the perfect place to start your Korean adventure. As soon as you set foot outside the door, this vibrant city will cast a spell over you and fill you with a thirst for adventure. You'll meet your group in the Myeongdong neighbourhood, where you'll have your first Korean meal at the welcome dinner. Afterwards, you can enjoy the breathtaking view at night from the top of Namsan Mountain, where you will see the famous transmission tower illuminated in pink, blue and green.

After breakfast at the hostel, you have the morning at leisure to explore Seoul. If you're a K-pop fan, meet up with the rest of the group at lunchtime at HiKR Ground, a four-storey interactive centre with a K-pop museum. Learn more about the K-wave sweeping the world and record your own K-pop dance video! The afternoon is free for further exploration before we all head to the lively Itaewon neighbourhood for dinner and drinks.

Today you have the opportunity to experience a tour that you will remember forever. You will be taken to the demilitarised zone (DMZ), where you can take a look inside the closed-off kingdom of North Korea. Standing on the border between two worlds, you will experience the stark contrast between North and South Korea. You will explore the tunnels that North Korea has dug into the South, hear the stories of the area and engage in a cultural exchange with a North Korean defector. You'll return to Seoul around 4pm, giving everyone plenty of time to freshen up before enjoying another delicious Korean dinner.

Today is all about exploring the more traditional areas of Seoul to get to know a different side of the city. Your adventure begins with the changing of the guard at the impressive Gyeongbokgung Palace. A true symbol of splendour and history, where you can explore ancient courtyards, majestic architecture and tranquil gardens. You will also have the opportunity to wear the traditional „hanbok“ while exploring the palace for an extra authentic feel! Afterwards, we'll walk through the perfectly preserved Hanok Village before heading to the bustling Insadong Art Street. Later in the evening, your guide will take you on a street food tasting tour through the famous Gwangjang market to sample the best street food in town!

Get ready to experience the tranquillity of a small, working temple in the mountains outside Seoul. With beautifully decorated temples and shrines dotted around the grounds, you'll be transported to a world away from the noise and neon lights of the big city. You'll take part in temple life, including a singing bowl meditation session, evening bell ringing and prayer chanting. You'll also have the special opportunity to sit down for tea with a monk after a Buddhist dinner (taken in contemplative silence!) and ask him your burning questions about life. After morning chanting and another healthy Buddhist meal for breakfast, we bid farewell to our little mountain retreat and make our way to the small town of Jeonju, famous for its food, drink and immaculately preserved traditional village area. After checking into our beautiful wooden Hanok guesthouse, we set off to explore the town. The afternoon is yours to do with as you please and then join the rest of the group to enjoy a tasting of makgoli, one of Jeongju's most famous products, at Hanok. You will learn how it is made and can try different flavours. For those who still haven't had enough, continue on to Makgoli Alley where you can sample more and eat your way through some „anju“ - special dishes made to be enjoyed with a few drinks!

After saying goodbye to Jeonju, you will take the bus to our next destination, the old capital Gyeongju. This enchanting place is also known as the „museum without walls“ as it is home to a collection of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, ancient temples and royal tombs. These sites give us an insight into the past and tell stories from a bygone era. After checking into your accommodation, you'll have time to freshen up before we explore the city by bike and visit all the sights that make Gyeongju so famous. In the evening, we'll head to the stunning Donggung Palace, which was a freestanding palace for the royal family of the Shilla era. Here you can admire the shimmering reflections of Anapji Pond at night.

Today you have a free day in Gyeongju, which you can spend as you wish. For example, you could visit the ancient burial mounds in Tumuli Park and learn about the history of the kings and nobles of Silla. Or you could delve further into the rich history and culture of the Silla Kingdom at the Gyeongju National Museum with its extensive collection of artefacts. If you want a relaxing day out, take a leisurely bike ride or boat tour around the picturesque Bomun Lake, which is perfect for a picnic. In the evening, join the group to try out some of the bars and restaurants in the old town.

Today we are travelling to Busan, a city on the water, surrounded by beaches and mountains. After checking in right in the city centre, we will explore the famous Jagalchi market and the shopping districts. The afternoon is free for you to visit the Gamcheon Cultural Village or perhaps take a dip in the steaming waters of a Jjimjilbang (public bathhouse).
To round off the day in style, you can sing at the top of your lungs in one of Korea's famous karaoke rooms.

Unfortunately, it's time to say goodbye. Have a hearty breakfast before you leave the hotel and set off on the next part of your journey.
