Arrival in Lima is possible at any time. There are no activities planned, so you can check into the hotel and explore the city. (Check-in time is approximately 15:00).
After the welcome meeting, you can enjoy an optional dinner in a nearby local restaurant. If you arrive late, don't worry - the CEO will leave a message for you at reception.

We head south to Nazca, to one of the world's greatest mysteries, the Nazca Lines.

Enjoy free time to explore Nazca and take an optional sightseeing flight over the Nazca Lines. Help prepare a traditional „pachamanca“ dinner before travelling on to Arequipa by night bus.

Stroll through the streets of the „white city“. Optionally, you can also visit the Catalina Monastery.
If you are interested in history and architecture, you can optionally visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, which offers a short break from the outside world and a unique insight into life in times long past. Other optional excursions include rafting and mountain climbing.

Full-day tour into the Colca Canyon and optional visit to the local thermal springs. Admire the terraces created by pre-Inca cultures and the wildlife, including alpacas, llamas and vicuñas. Look forward to an overnight excursion to the impressive Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world. We stop in fascinating villages and at „miradors“ (picturesque viewpoints) where visitors may be lucky enough to spot Andean condors circling above the majestic Andes. Other unusual animals that can be spotted in the Andean landscape include three different types of camel: Alpacas, llamas and vicuñas.

Look out for the majestic condor. Return to Arequipa, where you board the night bus to Cusco. Rise early to visit the viewpoint from where you can watch condors in flight. We travel from the city of Chivay to a condor viewpoint to admire these magnificent birds in the air. On the way back, we stop at some local villages and viewpoints to see ancient terraced fields and sections of the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world. Lunch break and return to Arequipa in the afternoon. Get ready for the night bus journey to Cusco.

Day at leisure in Cusco for your own discoveries. Optionally, you can go mountain biking, rafting or relax in a café.

Visit the weavers' cooperative supported by G Adventures in the community of Ccaccaccollo. Stay overnight with a Quechua family and learn a few words of their language.
Meet the women of the weavers' cooperative and learn about traditional weaving and dyeing techniques. Optionally, you can buy some handmade souvenirs and cloth goods directly from the women who made them. Get to know your Quechua family and take part in various community activities before a football match with the locals.

Embark on an optional tour through the Sacred Valley, visiting markets and historical Inca sites and ruins. Travel through the breathtaking Sacred Valley of the Incas. Optionally, you can take a tour through the Sacred Valley and visit the impressive ruins of Pisac, the colourful handicraft market (only on market days) and the large ruins of Ollantaytambo, which is located right next to the city of the same name. Take a breather in Ollantaytambo and prepare for the hike the next morning.

Travel by minibus from Ollantaytambo to km 82, where the hike begins. Hike through a beautiful landscape with diverse fauna that changes depending on the season.

We set off early for the steep ascent to Warmiwañusca, better known as Dead Woman's Pass. At 4,198 metres, this is the highest point of the hike. Most hikers reach the camp in the early afternoon and then have enough time to relax and rest (or similar).

On your way, you will cross two more mountain passes and pass ruins. The first pass is the 3,950 metre-high Runquraqay, from where hikers can enjoy a view of the snow-covered Cordillera Vilcabamba on cloudless days. Hike through the cloud forest to the second pass of the day. The gently ascending path leads through original Inca buildings. The highest point of the pass is 3,700 metres above sea level. On cloudless days, you can enjoy the spectacular view over the Urubamba Valley from here. At an altitude of 3,650 metres, you will reach the ruins of Phuyupatamarca, the „city above the clouds“. You can either pitch your tent here or continue one and a half hours further to the Wiñay Wayna ruins at an altitude of 2,650 metres (or similar).

The last day of the hike begins at night so that we can reach the Sun Gate at sunrise. The alarm clock rings at around 3.30 am, after which we hike to the checkpoint. On cloudless days, you can enjoy the first view of the breathtaking ruins of Machu Picchu from here. Hike down to Machu Picchu and enjoy a guided tour of the site and time to explore it on your own. Optionally, you can visit the Inca Bridge if you have time. Take the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will meet your CEO and the members of your group who opted out of the hike. Here you can eat and relax before taking the train back to Cusco in the afternoon.
