Start your journey in the capital Amman before travelling back in time at the Roman ruins of Jerash and the historic streets of As Salt. Then it's on to the BIG highlight, Petra! Explore this sight that should be on every bucket list and get ready for goosebumps as you hike through the Siq to the famous treasure house. Afterwards, take a jeep ride through the red sand dunes of Wadi Rum, drink tea with Bedouins and spend the night glamping under the clearest starry sky you've ever seen. Cool off in Aqaba on the Red Sea and leave your worries behind in the Dead Sea.

Welcome to Amman!

Landing in Jordan! Welcome to the capital of Jordan and the starting point for our 8-day adventure through this amazing country. Make your way to the hotel, check in and unpack. If you fancy a bit of exploring, our hotel is in a great location. This city is a super cool mix of ancient ruins and modern architecture. In the evening, the whole group will get together for a welcome dinner (mezze, anyone?). You'll be best friends in no time!

Explore Al-Salt and Gerasa

Good morning! Today we put on our cultural hats and set off to explore Gerasa, Jordan's largest Roman site. Gerasa is huge, but luckily our guide shows us the highlights and takes us to the most breathtaking parts of these Roman ruins. We'll then continue on to As-Salt, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is home to a mix of European and Ottoman styles. We will stroll through this town and learn more about the communities living there. In the afternoon, after our cultural dose, it's only right that we explore the local craft beer scene. We'll sample some of the beers, all against the incredible backdrop of the Blue Valley. What a crazy first day!

We're up early this morning and ready to explore Amman. We'll discover the amphitheatre and see the city's amazing Roman architecture up close. Then, in the afternoon, we'll continue towards Petra, HOW EXCITING! Use the afternoon to relax and get ready for an early start tomorrow.

Explore Petra

It's Petra day! Are you ready for a 10/10 bucket list experience? We get up super early to beat the crowds and the heat. We'll venture through the Siq, these narrow crevices between huge rocks form the most epic entrance to Petra! You'll be speechless when we arrive; it really is something special. We'll have plenty of time to walk around and take it all in. Once we've explored to our hearts content and asked our guide all the questions, we'll return to the hotel to go through all the photos!

Wadi Rum desert camping

You thought yesterday was unbeatable? Think again! Today we are travelling to Wadi Rum. We'll arrive at our desert camp for the night and explore the epic surroundings. This afternoon we have a jeep tour planned, driving through iconic desert landmarks such as Khazali Canyon, Lawrence's Spring and the Um Frouth Rock Bridge. Afterwards, we will experience a traditional Bedouin tea in the midst of this incredible landscape. That evening we'll sit under the stars (trust us, you've never seen a sky this clear!), enjoy a delicious dinner and settle in for the night at this fantastic camp.

Departure for Aqaba

This morning we wake up in our incredible camp. Enjoy the last moments surrounded by epic views before we head to the coastal town of Aqaba. We'll drop off our bags and start exploring. This area is perfect for water activities, and the coral reefs here are something special. The atmosphere is completely different to the rest of Jordan, so we'll take time to relax... or float.

Dead Sea Spa and Madaba

Fancy something different? How about a Dead Sea spa? Float in the mineral-rich waters and relax on the beach, dreamy, right? After a lavish morning of living our best lives, we head to Madaba to explore St George's Church and its amazing mosaics. For our last night, we head to Madaba. Get ready for your last mezze meal, eat as much as you can, hug your new friends goodbye and air-drop all the group photos!

Yes, many of our participants are travelling alone. When you join our trip, you immediately become part of a group and have the opportunity to meet other adventurers. It's a fantastic opportunity to make new friends and share unforgettable experiences together!

You can secure your tour with a deposit of 200 EUR. The balance is not due until 45 days before the start of the tour. However, if you book within 45 days of the tour start date, the full tour price is payable immediately. This means you can plan your trip flexibly and look forward to your adventure!

If you make an enquiry, we will then contact you by phone to discuss all the details for preparing the offer. For example, we will clarify whether you need a flight offer and discuss all the important travel topics with you. You will then receive a personalised offer from your travel consultant by email. This ensures that all your wishes are taken into account and that you are well informed.

After your booking, you will receive a tour confirmation and your flight documents if you have booked the flight through us. You will be given access to a packing list and to online groups where you can exchange ideas with other participants. Your tour guide will contact you around 2-4 weeks before the start of the tour and provide you with final details about your journey and the start of the tour. This way you are well prepared and can network with your fellow travellers in advance.

As the group participants are travelling from many different countries, the flights to and from the tour are booked individually and are not included in the tour price. We will be happy to create and send you a suitable flight offer. Simply make a non-binding enquiry or let us know in the notes when booking and we will send you a flight offer once your booking has been finalised. This way you can ensure that you get the best possible flight for your needs and that your journey goes smoothly.

Latest arrival time:
You can arrive at any time on the first day of the tour. However, a welcome dinner is planned in the evening, which is why you should be at your first accommodation before 6 pm if possible so as not to miss it. This way you can get to know the other participants right at the start and have a relaxed start to your adventure.

Airport transfer:
The airport transfer on your arrival on day 1 is not included in the price. If you would like a transfer, just let us know in the notes field when you book, this can be added for 54.00 EUR. We can also book this later if you are not sure yet.

Yes, that's no problem. You will be asked about your dietary requirements during the booking process. German, Austrian and Swiss nationals require a "Visa on Arrival" for a stay. You can obtain this directly on arrival for 40 JOD (approx. 50 EUR). It is important that your passport is valid for at least six months when you enter the country.

Travel health insurance is compulsory on this tour to protect you. This can already be taken out at a reasonable price. We also recommend taking out travel cancellation, trip interruption and baggage insurance. These insurances offer you comprehensive protection and security during your trip.

We recommend travelling with a rucksack and packing light! 10-20kg should be enough. It's usually quite hot and it's no fun lugging around a huge suitcase. You can do your laundry or have it done for little money in most accommodation.
However, if you prefer a suitcase, that's no problem. You are also welcome to travel with a trolley or suitcase. The important thing is that you feel comfortable and can transport your luggage easily.
