You're finally here, probably tired but excited, anxious but curious, cautious but interested. Arriving here for the first time is a rollercoaster of emotions, but we've got you covered. Day 1 is free to rest, explore the area, get a massage (~ 8 EUR !!), have a beer (~ 1,50 EUR !!), enjoy delicious street food (~ 1 EUR per dish !!) or relax by the hotel pool ( 0 EUR !!) - you get the idea, there's a lot to do and things are pretty cheap. In the evening we will go to one of our favourite restaurants to enjoy delicious food, strong drinks and the start of lifelong friendships. After we all know way too much about each other, we'll head to Khao San Road and find out why backpackers and travellers of all kinds come here to meet people, party and start their adventures. But beware, the local beer (Chang) and mixed drinks are S-T-A-R-K.

Activity: Welcome Dinner

You came here to experience the culture, didn't you? Somehow? Well, today you're going to get it. After a relaxing morning by the pool (or in bed to sleep off that Chang hangover - we warned you), we'll take a Bangkok River Taxi (or a longtail boat) and cruise down the Chao Phraya, Bangkok's answer to the Thames or Hudson River. The river and canals offer a great behind-the-scenes look at this impressive city. After enjoying the sights of the city, we visit two impressive and prestigious temples, Wat Arun and Wat Pho, where we learn a little about Thai history, culture and religion before heading back to the hotel in a traditional tuk tuk. In the evening, we can either head back to Khao San Road, explore the rest of Bangkok's nightlife or take it easy!

That may sound like the title of a dodgy horror film, but it's not (at least as far as we know), and today certainly won't be the stuff of nightmares. You have a free morning to do what you want. Being the Tru VIP that you are, you'll be treated to a nice, relaxing massage before being taken with your entourage (the rest of the group) to the train station where we board the comfortable and quirky overnight train to our next destination. You can use the time on the train to get to know your group better, enjoy the views of the Thai countryside, catch up on your travel diary entries or simply catch up on some sleep. When we arrive in the morning, a surprise awaits you, so sleep well and dream of paradise, because that's where you're headed.

When we say this place is incredible, we mean it. Imagine a landscape like in the film Jurassic Park, only without the scary dinosaurs. Low hanging clouds hover over the mountains and jungle surrounding the beautiful, crystal clear lake in the centre of the national park. You'll see some of the most breathtaking scenery (very Instagram-worthy) you've ever seen as we cruise across the lake to our floating resort. After checking into your own floating bungalow accommodation, spend the rest of the day kayaking, sunbathing or just floating around in the big inflatable boat with a beer. In paradise. That's our kind of day. Where do you eat and drink at a floating resort? In a floating restaurant and bar, of course. Sounds cool, doesn't it? What if we told you that the food is delicious, all-inclusive and served buffet style? Okay, we'll stop.

Lunch & Dinner

After an early start, some world-class views from your bungalow door and a quick breakfast, it's time to explore the island, and not just any island, but our favourite island of all - Koh Phangan. If that's the reason you're here, then you've chosen the right people to travel with. No one, and I mean no one, knows how to have a good time on this island better than us. There are many reasons why our first office and many of us live here, and we're excited to show you some of them. The first is the beautiful, secluded, magical little Bottle Beach. This is what backpacking in Thailand was like about 20 years ago, it still has that lazy, remote feeling that only comes from being cut off from the rest of the island and the world. Yes, Koh Phangan is famous for its parties as well as its beauty, but if you come here and only experience the nightlife without seeing places like this, you're making a mistake. However, as always, we are here to prevent that, so you will experience a night on this magical beach in Tru-exclusive style, unlike most people who come here. You won't forget this for a while. We promise.

Apart from Khao Sok, this is probably the best place to wake up in the world. You'll hear the gentle lapping of the waves on the shore and feel the warmth of the sun's rays beaming through your window. Push open the door and you'll see the turquoise water meeting a backdrop of white sand and blue sky as the cool sea breeze wafts into the room. How do you want to wake up? By running straight into the sea, going to the bar and ordering a banana shake and a bottle of water, walking to the viewpoint to take insta-worthy postcard photos, rolling over and going back to sleep? We don't care how you spend your last hours in paradise on earth, after all, it's your holiday. In the afternoon, we'll work off the rum and coke calories with an introduction to Muay Thai or Thai boxing, Thailand's national sport. Well, we told you our tours were awesome. After a shower and a dip in the pool at our next resort, we'll explore the livelier side of the island and maybe even attend one of the pre-full moon warm-up parties as we prepare for the big night.

Today you are a pirate, or not. Either way. But we'll be cruising around on a big boat, enjoying breathtaking views, soaking up rays of sunshine, listening to cool beats and, above all, experiencing lots of good vibes from your fellow travellers and shipmates. AKA your new travelling family. You've seen the island from land, now it's time to explore it from the sea. Think blue oceans, blue skies, green trees, grey mountains, white beaches and tanned bodies. When we've had enough of the beautiful views and good times over the ocean, we can dive down with snorkelling and admire the breathtaking underwater scenery beneath the boat. After a sunset cruise back to the hotel, we freshen up and head to the beach for dinner, maybe even dancing to get rid of the "seal legs". In the evening, we head back to our accommodation for a dip in the water, dinner and drinks.

Are you ready for the best day of your life? Well, then you better get some sleep because today is going to get down to business, really BIG! Today we're going on an epic island road trip before getting ready for the best night of the trip so far! In the evening we meet up at our accommodation for the ultimate UV painting session to get ready for the Full Moon Party. It's legendary, spectacular and you couldn't be with a better crew. With the TruCrew, of course. When we started the Full Moon Party tour, no other companies did it for the same reason we didn't do it at first, which is because it's such a big party with so many people. Now, we can confidently say that between us, we've probably done more Full Moon Parties than probably any other company in the world. Of course, that's why we know best how to do it. Trust us. We'll take you to the best pre-drinking spots before we rock the Full Moon Party. If you're tough enough to last until the sun comes up (that's the best part), join us for the after-party, which starts at 6am. You know the old saying.... No rest for the wicked, right?

If you danced with us until the sun came up, you'll probably need to rest today to get some sleep. Or if you're really hard up, maybe you could still party. Either way, today is yours to do as you please. Enjoy the calm after the storm in the pool, in bed, exploring the island or with another relaxing Thai massage from us. After the last sunset of our epic adventure in party paradise, we'll head to our last dinner together as a group. All good things must come to an end, so let's make sure the last night is unforgettable.
