Volcanoes! Jungles! Beaches! Costa Rica simply has it all. And on this 11-day trip with overnight stays in hostels, you'll get the full load of awesomeness. You'll visit the impressive crater of the active Poás volcano on the way to La Fortuna, where waterfalls, rivers and thermal springs await you. Afterwards, you'll zip across the cloud forest in Monteverde, hike through the jungle to the idyllic waterfall at Rio Celeste and visit the beach resorts on the Nicoya Peninsula, where surfing, nightlife and endless fun are on the programme.

Arrival possible at any time. Make yourself comfortable in the hostel or explore the city a little before meeting the other roamies in the evening. Later, head to the San Pedro neighbourhood with the CEO and your new friends to eat and drink in one of the trendy bars. Let the party begin!"
Your opportunity to meet the CEO and your fellow travellers and find out more about your trip. Decide to have dinner with the group on site afterwards. Please check the notice board in the lobby (or ask at reception) for the official time and place for the group meeting.

A few highlights await you on the way to La Fortuna today. It starts with a stop at the active Poás volcano with epic views and photo opportunities at the crater. Then it's off to a community coffee project, where you can enjoy a cup and learn more about coffee production. Hungry? Enjoy a typical lunch of freshly caught tilapia from the local fish farm, plantains and the obligatory rice and beans. Afterwards, you'll learn how to make tortillas. Who can make the best? Arrive in La Fortuna in the afternoon, where you have time to check into the hostel and have a drink at the bar. Maybe you'll treat yourself to a dip in one of the many thermal springs here in the evening. After all, you deserve it, don't you?

Ready for adventure? There's so much you can do in La Fortuna, we'll give you a whole day to do whatever you want. You're welcome. Maybe you fancy active adventures like abseiling down a waterfall, rafting or stand up paddling on Lake Arenal. Of course, it's always tempting to just hang out with friends and a cool drink at the hostel. What do you say? A combination of both? Sounds perfect!

If you like travelling by different modes of transport, you'll love today. First you'll travel by bus from La Fortuna to Lake Arenal, then by boat across the lake and finally by bus again to the cloud forest of Monteverde. Lots of fantastic landscapes await, so have your camera ready! But that's not all: in Monteverde, we set off into the forest and whizz through the treetops on ziplines. What an adrenaline rush!

Today you can do as much or as little as you want. Anything is okay! Maybe you want to look out for birds and other animals on the suspension bridges in the treetops, go horse riding, visit a butterfly garden or just chill out in the hostel with a local craft beer.

Want to see even more magnificent landscapes and volcanoes? Okay, no problem. In a private car, we head to the Volcán Tenorio National Park, where we hike through the jungle to a bright blue pond and waterfall on the Rio Celeste. Keep your eyes peeled for birds and other animals! In the afternoon, we head to Liberia, where you can spend a relaxing evening after checking into the hostel before travelling on to the Nicoya Peninsula the next day.

Tick a national park off your list when you hike through the coastal forest to a waterfall and swim a lap in Parque Diria. Keep an eye out for monkeys and birds along the way! Then it's on to the laid-back seaside resort of Nosara on the Nicoya Peninsula, where you'll arrive in time for lunch. Check in at the hostel and then spend the rest of the afternoon exploring or relaxing on the beach. Is it time for a beer yet?

There's only one thing on the programme today, but it's something special. With your fearless CEO, you walk to Playa Rosada, a pink sandy beach that is only accessible at low tide. A hidden paradise! Chill and swim here and then enjoy the beach in Nosara for the rest of the day or simply hang out with friends and a cool drink at the hostel.

Yes, the beach in Nosara is great. But wait until you see the beaches we're visiting today. We'll head north along the coast from Nosara with a first stop at a protected turtle nesting site where you can see where the animals lay their eggs in the sand (when in season). Then we continue to Playa San Juanillo, where we go to a point with marvellous views of the rock formations on the coast and great beaches where you have time to lie down and have a swim. After lunch, we continue to Hostel Tamarindo, where more beach and great nightlife await.

Hit the waves! There's an included surf lesson this morning and you can do whatever you want for the rest of the day. Feeling active? Then you can go ziplining, on a kayak tour in the nearby national park or on a snorkelling trip. Can't get enough of the beach? Then just stay here and enjoy the sand and sea. Fancy something different? Chilling out with friends in the hostel is always a good alternative.
