Hey San José! Our adventure starts in the capital of Costa Rica, where you'll feel the tropical air as soon as you get off the plane. We'll pick you up at the airport and take you to our accommodation, where you can relax before meeting your new travel partners and looking forward to the adventures ahead.

Today we start with a tour of San José to learn more about the city's rich culture and history. We'll show you the impressive architecture and beautiful parks that can be found on every corner. From here, we leave the capital and head to the lush lowlands of Sarapiquí, stopping at the Pierella Butterfly Garden on the way. This tranquil place is surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens and is home to a variety of butterflies and wildlife. We learn how butterflies are bred and have time to stroll through the gardens.

Adventure is on the programme today! We start with an exciting white-water rafting tour, travelling through the vibrant rainforest landscape before sitting down to a well-earned lunch. Later, we take a break for an exciting tour of leaf-cutter ants and learn how important these little critters are for the ecosystem. After dark, we go on a guided night walk and look out for frogs, insects, reptiles and other nocturnal animals.

This morning we drive to La Fortuna and make a special stop on the way to visit a local organic family farm. Here we learn how fresh produce is grown and harvested before sitting down together for a delicious homemade casado lunch, which is included in the price. With a cup of locally grown coffee to finish, we continue on to La Fortuna, where the famous Arenal region awaits us.

Today is all about enjoying the natural wonders of La Fortuna. We check out a stunning waterfall where the jungle surrounds a mighty cascade that plunges into a cool pool below. Next on the agenda are the El Salto pools, a favourite spot with the locals and perfect for a refreshing dip. After an active day, we relax in natural hot springs and let the warm, mineral-rich water soothe our muscles as we relax under the canopy of the rainforest.

Nature awaits us as we immerse ourselves in the rainforest and hike across suspension bridges that criss-cross the jungle. As we explore the area, we'll have a good chance of spotting some of Costa Rica's incredible plants and animals while enjoying views of the rainforest canopy. The afternoon is all yours - whether you choose to sit back and relax or embark on more adventures. If you're looking for a thrill, why not try zip-lining through the treetops?

Today we're off to Samara, and as soon as we get there, we'll head straight for the beach life. You can sunbathe on the beach, play volleyball or just chill out with a cocktail. This coastal town on the edge of the Pacific has retained its hip, laid-back charm.

Start the day with a surf course and learn how to ride the waves from the local legends who know these waters like the back of their hand. Later, we swap the surfboards for dancing shoes and learn the rhythms and movements that are part of Costa Rican culture in a lively salsa class!

Next, we head for white sandy beaches, sunny skies and swaying palm trees as we drive along the coast to a more secluded beach in Guanacaste. This beach has been spared from mass tourism and is a real Costa Rican gem. Relax with a good book, swim in the calm waters, play a few rounds of football ... whatever you want to do on the beach, we'll make it happen.

After a relaxing morning by the sea, we head south to Esterillos - another chilled-out beach gem.

The spectacular Manuel Antonio National Park is our destination, so get your camera ready. This is the most visited national park in Costa Rica - and as we explore its lush jungles and beautiful beaches together, you'll understand why. Keep your eyes peeled as we keep an eye out for wildlife, including the ever-popular, world-famous sloth! After a morning in the jungle, we'll make our way to quieter beaches. Just keep an eye out for the cheeky monkeys that also call these beaches home.

We leave the coast behind us and head back to San José, where our journey began. But the fun isn't over yet as we stop for a super cultural experience and everyone's favourite - cacao, better known as chocolate, yum! We learn how important this humble tree has been in Costa Rica for thousands of years. And yes, don't worry, we also get to taste chocolate to see for ourselves. Tonight we meet for our farewell dinner and toast to our unforgettable time in Costa Rica. Pura Vida!
