Welcome to China. After your arrival in Beijing, you can take your time to arrive and let the first impressions of this impressive metropolis sink in. Your guide will give you tips for the start of your trip before you get to know the group at the welcome dinner in the evening.
An absolute highlight is on the programme today: the Great Wall of China. You will visit the impressive Mutianyu section, which is particularly well preserved and a little less crowded. As you walk along the wall, you can expect spectacular views and a perfect start to your adventure in China.
On the third day, you will explore the famous Forbidden City, the largest preserved imperial palace complex in the world. Together with your guide, you will immerse yourself in China's history and discover magnificent buildings, temples and courtyards full of cultural significance.
The journey continues to Xi'an. There you will discover the imposing old city wall and gain exciting insights into the history and traditions of the city. In the evening, another highlight awaits: a street food tour through the famous Muslim Quarter, where you can sample local specialities.
Today you will visit one of China's most famous archaeological wonders: the Terracotta Army. Thousands of life-size figures tell the story of a mighty imperial tomb and make this place an unforgettable experience. In the evening, you can end the day relaxing in Xi'an.
You continue your journey to Chengdu by train. After checking into your hotel, explore the famous Kuanzhai Alley with its shops, teahouses and small souvenir spots. In the evening, a traditional hot pot is a culinary must before you discover the city's night markets.
Today will be a particularly wild day, as you will visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. Here you can experience China's most famous inhabitants up close and, with a bit of luck, even spot red pandas. A day that is guaranteed to stay in your memory.
The journey continues to Furong Ancient Town, one of the most atmospheric places on the tour. The historic village is built around a waterfall and offers an almost magical experience, especially in the evening with its lights and special atmosphere. A walk through the village and the evening light spectacle will give you goosebumps.
Today we are travelling to Zhangjiajie, one of the most spectacular landscapes in China. The famous rock formations of the national park served as inspiration for the Avatar Mountains. In addition to breathtaking viewpoints, the highest outdoor lift in the world awaits you here, taking you high above this unique backdrop in no time at all.
One day is hardly enough for this landscape, so explore the national park even more intensively today. Enjoy nature, discover more spectacular views and use the time to experience this extraordinary natural wonder of China to the full.
After the natural highlights of the last few days, we continue on to the vibrant metropolis of Shanghai. After arriving and checking in, you can enjoy the modern city life in the evening, depending on your mood, be it with a relaxed dinner or in a rooftop bar with a view over the skyline.
Explore Shanghai on your last full day. The programme includes the famous Yu Garden, a classic garden in the middle of the old town. There will also be time for a stroll through the city and some last-minute souvenirs before the trip comes to a perfect end with a farewell dinner together.
After 13 eventful days, your trip ends in Shanghai. Depending on your onward journey, you can gather some last impressions or say goodbye to your group before heading back home or on to the next adventure with many unforgettable memories. We say: See you soon! :)
