Good morning Vietnam! On the first day of your trip to Vietnam, you will be picked up from the airport at any time and taken to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. After checking in, you can explore the city or relax until you meet the rest of your group for a welcome dinner with your new friends. Take a dip in the rooftop pool overlooking the city and get ready for the trip of a lifetime!

After breakfast, get ready for a cultural experience like no other: You will learn about the national sport Da Cao! It's also called "foot badminton" and you'll see it played in every park in the country. Learn the basics from one of the local teams we support as part of our community projects. Afterwards, we'll head out to explore the sights and hidden gems of this incredible city. Refresh at the hotel before travelling to the train station to catch the overnight train to Da Nang.

On arrival, you will be picked up by the team and taken to the banks of the Thu Bon River where we will have lunch before kayaking to the majestic old town of Hoi An. After a short walk to your hotel to freshen up, you can take a dip in the pool and then explore the area. Close to our hotel is Hoi An's famous night market, where you can buy your own customised clothes.

Rise and shine! Spend the morning cycling through the countryside, past small villages and rice paddies to a quiet riverbank where we will start collecting the plastic rubbish that has been discarded along the river. The afternoon is at your leisure (time on the beach!).

After breakfast at the hotel, you will travel in style to Hue (the imperial city)! First, we'll head up the famous Hai Van Pass! On the way we pass a beautiful waterfall, stop for lunch and drive through enchanting country roads. In the afternoon we reach the historic city of Hue, the ancient seat of the Nguyen dynasty.

This morning, get ready for an adventure in the imperial city, where you'll gain an insight into Vietnam's imperial history and culture.
Afterwards, head to a garden house on the banks of the Perfume River, where you will learn about some Vietnamese classics in a cookery class. Relax before travelling to Hue train station to catch your overnight train to Ninh Binh.

Get ready for your journey to one of the most scenic destinations in Vietnam! We get on the bus and drive to Pu Luong National Park. On the way, we stop for lunch and visit the Chua Ngoc Chau temple. We then arrive at our accommodation, a local host family in Ban Hieu, which lies between rice fields and mountains. Before dinner with local families, you will visit a waterfall. Experience the incredible landscape off the beaten track and sleep in one of the local houses tonight.

After breakfast with a marvellous view of the valley, we start with a hike to a beautiful, traditional bamboo lake house, where you can go bamboo rafting or swim in the crystal-clear water. Lunch will be served by a local family in the middle of the beautiful nature. After lunch you will have time to relax or help the family with their daily chores before we enjoy a great family dinner.

As we say goodbye to our host family and the countryside in Pu Luong, we look forward to the hustle and bustle of Hanoi and a stay in a beautiful boutique hotel! In the morning we take it easy and after a hearty breakfast we set off. We arrive in Hanoi in the afternoon and you have time to freshen up and go on a city tour with the rest of your group before fortifying yourself with local delicacies.

We make our way to the coast, where we wait for our traditional boat to take us to the famous Ha Long Bay. We escape the crowds by heading north to Bai Tu Long and other unspoilt sites of Ha Long Bay. Kayak through the breathtaking scenery of Cap La Island. You can also visit one of the secret beaches of Cong Do Island before returning to our boat to enjoy the sunset with a drink and dinner on the upper deck.

Start your day with a relaxing Tai Chi routine on the sundeck or enjoy the morning view of the bay's breathtaking scenery. We then head to the most famous cave system in the whole bay, Thien Canh Son. On the way back, you can try your hand at the famous Vietnamese fruit and vegetable carving and make spring rolls before disembarking and travelling back to Hanoi, where you can take an optional city tour before we celebrate our last evening together.

Your adventure continues today as you board a comfortable limousine at 7am for a scenic 6-hour journey to Sapa. Upon arrival, you'll meet your local guide and head straight to Ta Van Trek Point. Get ready to explore the lush rice fields of Muong Hoa Valley, where Ta Van village offers a glimpse into the authentic rural life of the local tribes. You'll experience the slow pace, savour delicious food and interact with curious, friendly locals. At nightfall, you'll enjoy a dinner with your local host and spend the night in an authentic homestay to soak up the atmosphere of Sa Pa. Accommodation: Shared room - Ta Van Homestay (or similar)

Start the day with a delicious breakfast with your host family. At around 9.00 am, you make your way to the village of Giang Ta Chai. Hike uphill to discover a beautiful waterfall and enjoy the breathtaking view. Giang Ta Chai is home to the Red Dao people, who are known for their characteristic black clothing with embroidered details. Before the steep descent, enjoy lunch in the village.
Back in Sa Pa, you check into your accommodation for the night. The afternoon is free for you to explore Sa Pa, stroll through the local market and immerse yourself in the local culture.
*Please note that we recommend our guests to wear hiking boots instead of trainers on this hike.

Today is your last day in Sa Pa. After breakfast at your hotel, set off with your guide and car to an altitude of 1700 metres to visit the mesmerising Silver Waterfall, where the Muong Hoa River originates. Take some breathtaking photos before continuing your journey along a wild forest road for about 3 kilometres and reaching a red dirt track that winds through lush green bamboo forests. At the end of the bamboo forest, follow the stream to the breathtaking Love Waterfall. From a distance, the waterfall looks like a hat and forms a picturesque backdrop in the vast landscape of mountains and forests. After taking in the beauty of the Love Waterfall, return to your car and drive to Sa Pa to enjoy your last lunch.
We have arranged a late check-out from your accommodation today so that you have time to return to your room after lunch, freshen up and pack your things for the night train.
As evening approaches, head to Lao Cai railway station, from where you will start your night journey to Hanoi. Take a few snacks with you for the night train and enjoy sharing a cabin with your fellow travellers.
